Manosh is a creative designer with experience in over 10 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, Asia, Europe and the Carribean. He has worked on and led a range of design projects involving large multi-disciplinary teams that have included architects, economists, engineers, transport planners, sustainability and environmental consultants, and smart city specialists.

He has an in-depth understanding of planning, permitting and developmental issues gained through direct involvement on projects for international development agencies, government bodies and private sector clients.

Since joining CH2M/ Halcrow, he has worked in pivotal roles on some of the Middle East and India’s largest projects such as new Capital city Amravati (India), Business Bay (Dubai), Lusail (Doha), and industrial cities for Saudi Aramco and Modon. His clients have included departments of government in UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, RAK), Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, KSA, India, Jamaica, Curacao, China, Management consultants (Booz&Co, BCG, Mckinsey, AT Kearney, Monitor) and real estate development companies (Emaar, Nakheel, Dubai Holding Group, Qatari Diar, RAK Properties).

Manosh brings a wide range of experience and understanding of development processes and operations management to each project, including the involvement and participation of stakeholders, conceptualising master plan briefs/ RFP etc for developers/ subconsultants, the use of appropriate and sustainable approaches to design and planning development, and the use of technology to improve work flow.

Manosh is an alumnus of the US Dept of State International Visitors programme, a UK Chevening scholar (awarded for Masters studies UCL) and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.

Sandeep Chachra is a social anthropologist by training and a development professional with over two and half decades of experience in human development. He leads one of the largest social organisations in India - ActionAid India, as its Executive Director. Prior to this, he led ActionAid Internationals, global work on Just and Democratic Governance and Economic Justice. Over the last two decades, he has also has worked in several capacities and geographies with ActionAid, CommonWealth Youth Programme and other development organisations and networks. He has steered development of a Global Economic Literacy and Budget Accountability platform, and the South South Peoples Solidarity Forum, with presence in over 20 countries. He was also key part of setting up the platform Global Call for Action Against Poverty (GCAP) in Asia which contributed to advancing a civil society campaign on MDGs. Sandeep has been involved with the work of peasant movements in Asia and Africa and have been a keen supporter of developing peasant movement plaforms and training processes. Currently, he is the Managing Editor of a leading global political economy journal on the Agrarian and work questions, called Agrarian South (http://journals.sagepub.com/home/ags) . In the last years, Sandeep has been part of policy efforts to develop the New Urban Agenda through two policy groups of UN-HABITAT ­ on the Right to the City and another one on Informal Economy.

Sandeep Chachra is the currenltly Co-Chairing of World Urban Campaign of UN-HABITAT (http://www.worldurbancampaign.org) He has written several papers and articles and developed resource packs for activists, the most recent being Exclusion In Agriculture (India) which was published in the India Exclusion Report in April 2017.

Mohammed trained with Zakaria Kawasmi Law Office in Amman, Jordan and was admitted to the Bar Association in Jordan in 1999 and represented many clients before courts in Jordan in relation to property, commercial and banking cases.

Mohammed worked as In-House Lawyer for Juma Al Majid Real Estate Est. from January 2002 up to August 2005 when he joined the real estate practice at Al Tamimi and Company.

Mohammed specializes in all aspects of Real Estate including acquisitions and disposals, property disputes, landlord and tenants disputes, mixed-use development, strata title, drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements, commercial and residential leases, Musataha agreements, service agreements and strata documents.

Mohammed works closely with Dubai Land Department, RERA, Department of Municipal Affairs in Abu Dhabi, and other governmental departments in other Emirates advising them on property laws and drafting regulations and standard agreements, and provide training courses at Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI) on several property legal subjects.

Is an urban planner and an architect, who is specialized in real estate dynamics and community development.

‪He acquired his Bachelor in Architecture from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik - USEK and his Master in Urban Planning from ALBA - University of Balamand. He is currently a PhD candidate in Territorial and Urban Planning in Grenoble - Alpes University in France.

‪Through his work, he is committed to create initiatives that develop, build and strengthen marginalized communities.

‪His work in urban planning focuses on towns and communities having issues of gentrification, access to affordable housing, economic and social transformations and somehow left over by the State official planning. His approach consists of making soft and small changes in the process that can generate peoples contribution throughout the rules of participative urbanism.

‪His private practice tries to balance between the private developers and the buyers where as a part of the company Corporate Social Responsibility, the team advices first homebuyers about the acquisition and apartment personalization for both legal and architectural processes.

‪He lives in Lebanon where he lectures at USEK, a private University and owns an architectural studio. He is an active member in several ngos. He is a proud father of one girl.

Richard Koss is a Resident Scholar in the IMFs Research Department and the Director of the IMFs Global Housing Watch Initiative. He is also Adjunct Professor at the Carey School of Business at Johns Hopkins University. His research focuses on determinants of house prices from a global perspective with an emphasis on policy and regulatory issues, particularly with respect to housing affordability. He has written extensively on the US and Chinese housing markets, and is a frequent speaker at real estate conferences around the globe. Previously, he was the Director of Economics with the Economic and Strategic Research Group at Fannie Mae and their key spokesperson on the global business and economic environment. Prior to joining Fannie Mae, Koss spent over 20 years in senior positions on Wall Street, most recently as Senior Vice President and Director of Global Investments at Brown Brothers Harriman. Prior positions include Senior Advisor to the General Motors financial staffs and Staff Economist at the Council of Economic Advisers under Chairman Alan Greenspan. Koss is the past Chairman of the Conference of Business Economists, a member of the Economic Club of NY and a member of the Affordable Housing Working Group of the World Economic Forum. Koss received his Ph. D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from Case Western Reserve University

He is an author of several publications in international refereed journals. He is also serving the academic community as an editor, associate editor guest editor, and member of editorial board of various international refereed journals. He is also a reviewer for many international journals including Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Business Research, and Applied Economic Series. He has presented papers and served in several international conferences as editor of conference proceedings, track chair, reviewer and discussant of conference papers. He has won the prestigious Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Researchers for the year 2015 and best reviewer award of Applied Economic Series for the year 2011. His research interests include anti financial crime, working capital management, stock market microstructure, and socioeconomic development.

At ADIB he helped grow the Residential component of the $ 6 Billion group-wide Real Estate financing business.

Tanvir is appointed on the Board of Middle East Real Estate Inspectors Association. He was Chairman of the Vendor Participation Committee at ADIB Group Human Resources and is a Mentor at Abu Dhabi Global Market. Earlier he launched the Consulting division at The International Investor (TII) and built media assets with Motivate Publishing.

Peter is part of the strategic management team at Beehive where he is the COO.  Beehive is the GCC’s first peer-to-peer platform for SMEs that connects creditworthy businesses with smart investors.  It is the only regulated P2P platform in MENA (regulated by the DFSA).  Beehive has written $30m of financing across the platform on over 200 requests and has >5,000 registered investors since it launched in November 2014. 

 

Peter is responsible for all operational, financial, legal and regulatory matters, investor relations, and heads up Beehive’s credit and risk.  Peter also leads the Group’s regional expansion and product development.

 

Prior to Beehive, Peter was Managing Director at BDO Corporate Finance in the DIFC which he co-established in 2009.  He advised SMEs and business owners across the GCC and led a broad range of Middle East and International transactions. Prior to that, Peter was in London where he focused on cross-border M&A and International IPOs.

Dr. Louise is a Registered Psychologist (#2659, College of Alberta Psychologists, Canada) with over 15 years experience in counselling centres, mental health, not-for-profit organizations, higher education and research, and primary healthcare organizations. She has lived in the UAE for eight years.

 

With a concentration in positive psychology, she has developed and delivered several evidence-based positive psychology intervention programs. Her "Happiness 101" program is still used in clinical settings and has shown 6-month post treatment effectiveness (Lambert D’raven, Moliver, & Thompson, 2015). She also developed a workplace character strengths program for teens, young adults, and entry-level employees along with a "Happiness Matters in University" program showing sustainable results over a three month period (Lambert, Passmore, & Joshanloo, 2018). She is now putting the finishing touches on a university level character strengths development program (see Amazon for these manuals soon).

 

Louise is well published in the field (see academic publications below) and leads several research projects in collaboration with local and international researchers. She speaks at international positive psychology conferences and is Editor-in-Chief of the Middle East Journal of Positive Psychology, a journal dedicated to uncovering human excellence in the Middle East.

Morne was a former cum-laude student and recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship and a Masters graduate from McGill University in Montreal, Morne is an Urban Designer with 20 years of experience in Asia, MENA, Europe and America. He led numerous commissions in the fields of master planning and architecture, specializing in new communities, urban renewal, regeneration and theme parks. He has been the Vice President of Dubai Parks and Resorts (now called DXBEntertainment) and formarly at the parent company Meraas Holdings for nine years, since the inception of the group in early 2008 where he reported first to the CEO and later to the CCO and CPO. Under his tenure, approximately 3000 Ha of land was master planned Partook in the development of the Dubai 2020 master plan, working with the key players from DM.

Dr. Abdulaziz Istaitieh is currently working as an economic advisor in the Strategy & Policy – Socioeconomic Development Department at The Secretariat of The Executive Council of the Government of Dubai (TEC). He is responsible to advise and provide expert input to the Strategy Management & Governance Sector in the areas of strategy, policy and performance for the Economic Development Sector, and to ensure proper alignment and harmony with Dubai Strategic Plan. Dr. Istaitieh has actively participated (partially or fully) in the development and implementation of major local economic policies and plans including UAE Vision 2021, Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, Dubai Strategic Plan 2015. Mahmoud has been selected to be FIABCI representative at the United Nations Economic Commission for West Asia (UNESCWA). Joined UN-Habitat in 1994, working in the area of urban policy analysis. Urban indicators and monitoring specialist in the Urban Indicators Programme (1994-1997) and Global Urban Observatory (1998-2005). Chief of the UN-Habitat Private Sector Unit from 2007 to 2011, she has helped profiling the private sector as a key partner of UN-Habitat. 
Christine is currently Project Leader of the World Urban Campaign, a global coalition of public, private and civil society partners united to advocate on the positive role of cities around the World, and to promote sustainable urbanization policies, strategies and practices.

My career started in the field of Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management in 2001 where I was the specialist consultant for a Telecom/Facility management organization in South Africa. In 2006 I became the shareholder and Executive Director for Dekra Norisko Industrial South Africa, heading up the Occupational Hygiene and Environmental Departments.  My specialties entailed Occupational Hygiene that closely measured the impacts of lighting, noise, ergonomics and air quality measurements (IAQ) as well as Waste and Water Management.  With having more than 5 years’ experience I then joined du in 2008 to present date, where I am currently the Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance Senior Manager. As a certified LEED: AP, Chief Sustainability Officer and a WELL Accredited Professional, this has set the tone to apply best practice initiatives that create an optimal, happy working environment for its occupants.

A Norwegian national, Mr Mauring joined the United Nations Development Programme in 2002 as Resident Representative and UN Resident Coordinator in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. He worked there until 2005, when he resumed the same position in Kosovo and then Russia, as UNDP Resident Representative and United Nations Development Coordinator.

 

Prior to joining the UN, he worked in banking, international consulting in development and transition countries before eventually serving four years as managing director/CEO of a large cement corporation in Angola. His work experience extends to 15 different countries in four continents.

 

He was first educated in Norway where he earned a BA in Economics, Philosophy and Social Anthropology followed by a BSc in Business Administration. Later he finished a Masters in International Management and additional courses equivalent to MBA in finance at the University of Denver, USA.

 

In addition to his Norwegian mother tongue, Mr Mauring is fluent in English and Portuguese. He is married and has four children.

Osman Sultan has been appointed CEO of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, du, starting 1st of January 2006, after spending eight years at the helm of the Egyptian Company for Mobile Services (MobiNil), a company he helped set up in 1998 to bid for and operate a GSM licence in Egypt.

As Chairman of the Arab Working Group for the Private Sector in the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), he is no stranger to the UAE, having addressed several conferences here on telecommunications issues. His vast experience includes managing operations in several countries in Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Mr Sultan joined the France Telecom Group in 1983 and for the next 11 years worked in management positions in sales, marketing and customer services activities in one of France Telecoms subsidiaries that specialised in electronic information services.

In 1994 he was actively involved in the acquisition of a US based operations and was appointed Vice President for Worldwide marketing & sales for the new company. In this capacity he was in charge of the merger of two companies in the USA and Europe. He also managed operations in Paris, Washington, London, Frankfurt and Sydney and the set up of a large distribution network in more than 20 countries in Europe, South America, the Middle East, Asia and Japan.

In 1995, he was appointed President of a US based subsidiary, Questel.Orbit Inc., with a goal of developing a growing business of professional Online Services.

In 1996 Mr Sultan received the award for The Best Web Site-Legal Product from the American Information Association and later received the Man of the Year award from the Professional Electronic Information Services Community in France.

In 1997, Osman Sultan joined France Telecom Mobiles International (FTMI) as Vice President for Business Development in charge of the Middle East and the Arab World.

That same year he was in charge of putting together the MobiNil consortium bid for a GSM license in Egypt. The consortium succeeded in acquiring 68% of Egyptian Company for Mobile Services.

Osman Sultan holds a Degree in Engineering and has addressed several conferences on Telecommunications and Electronic Information Services, Mobile Telecom and the Internet in the Middle East (Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, UAE), Japan, the USA and Europe.

Craig initially studied architecture and building technology, developing a sound knowledge of design, drawings and details, contract administration and construction engineering technology. He then went on to complete a building surveying degree and gained additional engineering and project management qualifications while working in practice and was awarded the university medal for BSc honours student and the RICS dissertation prize. Following this, Craig developed further expertise in the management of large scale estate developments and refurbishments and renovations of historic properties, including leading detailed measured and condition surveys and site quality control.
